FCC Men's Group.

Meets in the evening on the 2nd Tuesday of
the Month for fellowship, study, DVD viewing and
dinner. All men 18 and up are encouraged to attend.
Please bring $5 per man to help defray the cost

FCC Women's Prayer Group.
Sundays after the Worship Service
In the Chapel at the rear of the Sanctuary.
Led by Reverend Mattie Roddy.
It's mission is to uplift women who are hurting and
need support. through life's trials and challenges.
It's goal is to give godly advice from experiences
and to share tremendous testimony of teh sustaining
power of God in our daily lives.

◊ Celebrate Recovery
For those with addictions hurts and hang-ups.
Sunday nights every week from 6 PM to 8 PM.
In Pumphrey/Fellowship Hall.
Coffee & light snacks provided.
Christ centered, bible based 12 step, 8 principal
program. CR meets every Sunday night here at FCC

◊ G.O.A.L. Group (Going On About Living)
For those with dealing with the loss
of a loved one(s).
3rd Tuesday at 12:30 PM at local area restaurants
for lunch.
Grief affects everyone differently. Sometimes the
best help is lunch with other Christian sisters and
brothers who are going or have been through the
same thing, is just the place to be.
G.O.A.L. Group is a place where you can reminisce
about your loved one(s) in a positive, uplifting
atmosphere. G.O.A.L. Group meets the 3rd Tuesday
of the Month at 12:30 PM for lunch at various Daytona
area restaurants. Call the church for their next

◊ FCC Chancel Choir
(under the direction of Lane Schmidt)
Open to anyone and everyone who likes to sing!
Rehearsals are Wednesday nights at 7:30 PM.
Chancel Choir leads the congregation through
the music part of the Sunday Worship Service, as well
as Vocal and Intrumental Specials, Candlelight,
Maundy Thursday and other special services. Singers
and musicians are encouraged to join.
The Choir displays a very wide style of Christian
Worship ranging from traditional Hymns to African
Spirituals to recent-day Christian Top 40 selections.
The majority of selections are of Traditional-
Contemporary and African American infulences.
◊ FCC Chimes Choir
(under the direction of Dave Barker)
Open to anyone and everyone who would like
to play! Experience is not necessary and you
don't need to read music.
Rehearsals are 1st & 3rd Wednesdays
of the month at 6:45 PM, right before
Chancel Choir rehearsals.
Chimes Choir plays lightweight bells that sound
incredibly beautiful, but are lightweight unlike full size
handbells which can be hard on arthritic hands.
Chimes Choir performs twice a month on
alternating Sundays after the Acolyte has light the
altar candles and before the annoucements.
◊ Bible Studies 5 Adult Groups!
VSunday Adult Bible Study 9:30 AM
In the Chapel at the rear of the Sanctuary.
Study is instructional text book based.
Taught by long-time teacher, Roy.
This is a highly interactive, conversational
class. The style of the study books
is: scripture, focus commentary, points for
group discussion, repeat for three cycles per
class. In accordance with Disciples of Christ
philosophy, differing personal Holy Spirit
driven interpretations of the material are par
for the course. Class ends approximately 15
minutes before the start of Sunday Worship

VSunday Adult Bible Study 9:30 AM
In the Centennial Room, next to the Kitchen.
Reading through the Bible in 50 classes.
Led by Marie. Began Sunday, June 6th, but
you may join at any time. Bring your own Bible,
whichever translation you feel most comfortable
with. Class ends approximately 15 minutes
before the start of Sunday Worship Service at
10:45 AM. Call 386-252-6648 for this week's
subject and bible section of study.

A study of "Bible Characters" from the Old
& New Testaments, male & female.
Led by Billie.
Last class in session is Sat. June 11.
We will resume in the fall.

◊ Creative Writing Class
A secular class held at FCC for writer-wannabe's
and writers.
Meets 1st & 3rd Wednesdays of the month at FCC in
Pumphrey Hall. Creative Writing Class is taught by
volunteer and long-time professional writing teacher,
Jane Harmon (Miss Jane). The class is free and open
to the public, although a donation of $1 per person is
suggested to assist FCC with the light bill used for the
space. Their webpage link to the upper left leads to
samples of their *writing.
*Copies are available from the church office for a
small donation (copier use reimbursement).
