Women of Faith will sponsor a luncheon for the women of Palmetto House on August 26, 2011 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.

June 2011 UPDATE:
As Women of Faith we pray to hear the shepherd's voice ad follow where he leads us until we are safely in his care and live with him forever. We pray to get where we need to go in life and move into the purpose God has for us. When the road ahead seems uncertain we learn to take God's hand and let him lead us to places we can't get to without him. We pray to overocme doubt and fear in difficult situations and, that wea are enabled to recognize the answeres to our own prayers. When we pray burdens are lifted, and we become grateful for every breath, determined to look for the blessing in that moment, no matter what the circumstances.

"Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall bear fruit in the old age: they shall be fresh and flourishing." --Psalm 92: 13-14

February 20, 2011 a Women of Faith Prayer Group began here at First Christian Church, The prayer group meets every Sunday following regular church service. It’s mission is to lift up women who are hurting and need support through life’s trials and challenges. It’s goal is encourage and to give godly advice from their experiences and to share tremendous testimony of the sustaining power of God in our daily living.

PROVERBS 31:10,25,30 tells us: "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised." KJV

A STRONG WOMAN VERSUS A WOMAN OF STRENGTH

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape

But a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything

But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future

A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be

God's blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman walks sure footedly

But a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls.

A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face

But a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey

But a woman of strength has faith that it is

In the journey that she will become strong

Church on Easter Sunday 2011, prior to the morning Adult
Sunday School Classes and Worship Service. It was a great success!
